Recently, I was bored in the kitchen with the same ol’ stuff for lunch. Looking through the cabinets and the refrigerator, I found inspiration that ended up tasting WONDERFUL!
- 1 12 oz box pasta (I used elbow macaroni)
- 1 24 oz jar of spaghetti sauce (your favorite flavor)
- 12 slices of Kraft singles
- about 4 cups of frozen tater-tots (or as many as needed to cover the top of a 9×13 casserole dish)
Preheat the oven to the baking instructions for the tater-tots.
Prepare the pasta according to the box, drain. In the pot you boiled the pasta, mix together the pasta and spaghetti sauce. In a 9×13 casserole dish, pour 1/2 the pasta mix in and even it out. Unwrap 6 of the cheese slices, placing them evenly across the 1st half of the mix. Pour over the last half of the mix then cover with the remaining unwrapped 6 slices of cheese. Now cover that with as many tater-tots as you can fit on there.
Put this in the oven and bake for as long as the tots require.
Ta-dah!! Depending on how hungry your crew is this will last for a couple of meals… or just one.
